My Love for Poetry

this poem i wrote because i am adopted and i also wrote it for school it is called adoption

New brothers, new sisters

from different families

come into one big family

One big family with many 

stories from their past

soon to fade away

Pasts that stay forever

becomes less painful as

we move farther along in life

More adoptions mean more stories

stories that become less painful

over a long or short period of time

adoption is part of what my family

does because we love to help the

children who have no one to love

and that need a forever home

that poem was inspired by all of the adoptions my family as done over the years. We didn't do many but the few we did do helped me write this poem.

this is a poem i wrote for school it is called a hikue or something like that anyway lol it is called sunset

Sunset, bright sunset

leaving such pretty colors

in the darkened sky

O how wonderful

look at the colors of red

and colors of blue

colors of orange, pink

there are so many colors

during a sunset

so many colors

that come out when the sun sets

and the sky goes dark

O lovely colors

what wonderful sight to see

the sight is pretty

sitting on the beach

watching the coral sunset

a perfect sunset

red velvet sunset

glittering on the ocean

softly and gently fades

in the darkest night

radiant hues of fire

slowly disappear

sunsets red twilight

disappears in the night sky

when the stars come out

The Summer Sounds

I walk through the silent night

I see the trees waving in the wind

the water glistens in the moonlight

The ocean waves goodbye to the moon

As the sun comes up the stars seem to cry

When I headed home I heard the wind softly whisper goodnight

And see the crickets play the last note of their midnight song

As I wake up I hear the birds gently singing their morning song

I see the sun shining in the sky

I can see the butterflies flying in at the river bank

What I can't see at night is what I seek when dawn comes

When the day is done the gentle lights fade away

As the sun goes down the moon comes up

As the midnight sounds gently rock me to sleep

I dream of a beautiful enchanted forest

And lovely snowed on mountain tops

When my mind is confused I go for a long walk

When my heart is troubled I listen to the crickets song

I listen to the flapping wings of the wonderful barn owl

I look out the window to see a meteor shower of shooting stars

I hear the soothing crash of the ocean waves under the gentle glow of the stars

As the wind gently sings me to sleep in the darkness of night

I lay waiting for the first gentle ray of morning light

And the soft gentle noise of leaves rustling in the summer breeze

I wrote this poem for my english class and I thought I would like to share it by posting it in my blog.

My poem

This poem I wrote for two of my younger sisters that don't live with me. Their names are Misti and April. This poem is called forever

When I look in your eyes I can see your heart
What I see makes me want to cry
I see pain and longing
You search for something that seems impossible to find
I know what you are searching for
You search for someone who will always be there
You search for someone who will take all your pain away
For someone who will always love you no matter what
You search for Jesus Christ, the son of God
To him you are special
No matter how much you push him away
His love for you will never fade away
He died on the cross for you
He died to save you from your sins
He chose to die on the cross cause he loves you
When times are tough he is always there
When you have no friends he is willing to be your friend
He hears you when you cry for help
He hurts along with you
He rejoices when you succeed
He is a forever friend
And to him you are everything
